Prepare For Your Glory

… thus says the LORD of hosts: “He sent Me (Christ Jesus) after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye” (Zechariah 2: 8).

Here we are again; is another Christmas time to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. As we are preparing for this celebration, let me remind you one of the key reasons why the Lord Jesus came to this world: He came to bring many sons to glory (Hebrew 2: 10). He did not come to give us Christmas but a glorious life. He came to fulfil the Father’s vision for the world, which He swore to Moses, saying, “…as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD” (Numbers 14: 21).

The Father’s vision about the earth is to fill it with His glory, including your own very life here on earth. Do not over spiritualise things and be in a hurry to escape to heaven to enjoy the glorious splendour of heaven. The Father’s vision is for you to start here and now to enjoy His glory on earth. Therefore, instead of preparing for Christmas, prepare for God’s glory to be revealed in your life, family, community, city and nation. Let God’s glory fill your world and your life (Isaiah 40: 5). That is the key preparation that you should be involved in deeply this season.

Glory is anything in Christ that will make your life meaningful, joyful, peaceful and great for ever. It is not a temporary thing; it is forever. If you have a seemingly temporary glory, then, it is not of Christ if such glory is not going to last through eternity.

Glory is the manifestation of good things in your life. When Moses sought the Lord to show him His glory, God answered, saying, “I will make all my goodness pass before you…” (Exodus 33: 18 – 19b). The manifestation of God’s goodness is His glory. Christ Jesus is the glory of the Father and it is He that your world should be filled with, with physical evidence of good things manifesting around you.

The Lord Jesus came to make our lives meaningful, joyful, great and full of peace. That is what a glorious life looks like and that is what you should be preparing for if there are no physical evidence of these in your life yet. He came to open-up destinies and bring us to glory, to experience a glorious life here on earth first and in heaven at last (Hebrews 2: 10). Are you enjoying a glorious life in Christ?

Notice, I am not asking you if you are a Christian, born-again or not? The question is: “Are you enjoying a glorious life now?  … a meaningful, joyful and a great life full of peace?” If you are, then, you do not need any more preparation but to help others in your world to enjoy same. But be realistic to yourself! If you are not enjoying a glorious life, do not be satisfied with carrying a label, “I am a Christian: a Catholic, a Pentecostal, a born-again believer, a priest, a Reverend minister, a pastor, a bishop, a deacon and many more of such titles”, yet life is handling you without mercy nor evidence of Christ victory (John 16: 33). You need preparation in that case. This is what the Lord sent me to remind you. You can have a glorious life on this earth and in eternity in heaven at last. Do not waste your time, money and energy preparing for Christmas but “Prepare for Your Glory”.
